Giving Back to the Community...
DanceTime is proud to be part of the Bedford Community and the communities of it's surrounding towns. When we come together as a community and help out one another, we are rewarded with feeling connected to our community and the satisfaction of trying to make the world a better place.
There are many needs and many ways to help.
We have found that pre-schools try to provide enrichment programs but struggle to raise the funds to do so. DanceTime tries to fill this need by donating dance and movement classes to local pre-schools.
Residences for senior citizens, including senior residences, assisted living, and nursing homes, aim to offer uplifting programs for their residents. Like pre-schools, sr. residences often struggle to raise and budget funds to support enrichment programs. The DanceTime Starettes donate their time and provide dance performances at local sr. residences.
Bedford Day. DanceTime coordinated an afternoon of stage performances for the September 25th Bedford Day. With the help of Callahan's Karate studio(who performed as well as helped transport the stage and loaned their PA system!!), the DanceTime Starettes who performed their award winning dance numbers and all the other local businesses who performed on the stage, we had a wonderful time entertaining the community and taking part in the annual town day festivities! What a rewarding experience to work with other local businesses and the Bedford Rec Dept to organize this performance!
Although DanceTime is donating programs, we receive even more reward in return. There is nothing more satisfying than knowing you've made a positive impact in someone's life; connecting and seeing a smile on a person's face, whether 4yrs old or 90years old, is one of the most fulfilling feelings.
If your child attends a local pre-school and would like DanceTime to come to your school or if you have a parent at a local sr. residence and would like to schedule a Starette performance- please send an email to Miss Elisa info@dancetimebedford.com
