                    Primary Division: Classes for Ages 2.9yrs - Grade 1

                    Young children get excited about learning when taught with a playful approach in a nurturing environment. Our teachers engage a young dancer's attention by introducing skills and activities thru songs, rhymes, props and one's imagination. Skills and activities promote gross motor skills, body awareness, balance, coordination, and musicality, as well as self-esteem, focus, listening skills, learning how to take turns and follow directions, and social experiences. We strive to make the first experiences in dance POSITIVE and FUN!
                    Lil Ballerinas
                    (ages 2.9-4yrs)
                    Begin the exciting journey into dance with ballet, tumbling and FUN!

                    Intro to Dance 1 and 2
                    (Intro 1 ages 4-grade K)
                    (Intro 2 grades K-1)
                    Continue the journey with a ballet and tap combo class!

                    Fairytale Ballet
                    (ages 3-6yrs)
                    Calling all princesses! Class combines ballet fundamentals with stories, crafts and your imagination!

                    NEW CLASS!
                    Royal Dance Academy
                    (grades K-1)
                    Calling all princesses with an adventurous spirit! A ballet and tap combo class(similar curriculum to Intro 2) with a royal approach. No damsels in distress here! Princesses in this class ROCK! (Class meets for 75 minutes- in addition to ballet and tap, class will also include either a story, a short musical theater section or a craft.)

                    Hippity Hop
                    (grades K-1)
                    A high energy, age appropriate, rockin', groovin' class!

                    Junior Division: Classes for grades 2-5 (grade 1 with instructor approval for noted classes)
                    Senior Division: Classes for grades 6-12

                    Students at every age are motivated by a positive learning environment. A DanceTime teacher's goal is to inspire and to create an energy in the classroom that motivates students to work hard and learn while having fun. Technique and body placement are progressively taught. Students will gain body awareness, poise, strength, rhythm, discipline, and musicality, as well as, creativity and focus. Dance class creates an outlet for expressing oneself in a safe environment, and through this fosters self concept and confidence.
                    Ballet
                    (Jr and Sr Division) (Gr.1 with instructor approval)
                    Ballet builds a graceful and healthy body with fine posture and poise. Ballet increases focus, body awareness, balance, coordination, control, and concentration.

                    Pre-Pointe: Foot and Ankle Strengthening
                    (Sr Division)
                    Build the foot and ankle strength necessary to safely dancing on Pointe.
                    Pre-Pointe dancers are required to enroll in a Ballet class.

                    Pointe
                    (Sr Division-by teacher recommendation)
                    DT's healthy approach to this demanding art form fosters the proper technique and guidelines necessary to developing safe habits, muscle strength, and the foundation needed to progress to higher levels of training while avoiding risk of injury. Dancing on Pointe is hard work and requires strength, dedication and commitment. 
                    Pointe dancers are required to enroll in Pre-Pointe: Foot and Ankle Strengthening and a minimum of one Ballet class.

                    Jazz
                    (Jr and Sr Division) (Gr.1 with instructor approval)
                    Jazz is full of energy and passion. Classic jazz technique is layered with percussive and expressive new styles.

                    Acro
                    (Jr and Sr Division) (Gr.1 with instructor approval)
                    Acro combines tumbling and dance. The teacher moderates each exercise to the individual ensuring maximum safety and at the same time challenging each student.

                    Musical Theater
                    (Jr and Sr Division) (Gr.1 with instructor approval)
                    Combining new approaches like the popular tv series "Glee" and traditional Broadway style choreography and show-stopping stage presence with a focus on acting and learning song-and-dance numbers.
                    Tap
                    (Jr and Sr Division) (Gr.1 with instructor approval)
                    Tap combines the study of rhythm, patterns, and syncopation. Tap dancing develops rhythm, agility, balance and coordination.

                    Modern
                    (Jr and Sr Division)
                    Modern is an approach to dancing as a form of art. Exploring movements that eventually become a dance is thought of as equally important as the final dance.

                    Hip Hop
                    (Jr and Sr Division)
                    High energy moves are taught using a variety of upbeat music. Choreography is age appropriate with no suggestive movement or music.

                    NEW CLASS!
                    Lyrical/Hip Hop Fusion
                    (Sr Division)
                    A fusion of lyrical and hip hop. 

                    Lyrical
                    (Sr Division)
                    A combination of ballet and jazz. The dancer becomes an actor telling a story. Movements are lengthened and graceful.

                    Zumbatomic®
                    (Jr Division)
                    Zumba Fitness, LLC created the Zumbatomic® program for kids. It’s a fast-forward fusion of the Zumba program’s moves (salsa, cumbia, reggaeton, hip-hop and more) and high-energy workouts designed for children to practice good health and have FUN at the same time. Watch their energy and fitness levels soar as they get into the groove. Miss Marjorie is Zumbatomic® certified.
                    Zumbatomic®  is a NON-recital class.

                    NEW CLASS!
                    Zumba®
                    (Sr Division)
                    Zumba® is a high intensity, high impact workout that fuses hypnotic Latin rhythm and easy to follow moves to create a dynamic fitness program that will blow you away. The routines feature interval training sessions where fast and slow rhythms and resistance training are combined to tone and sculpt your body while burning fat. So ditch the workout, and join the party!  Miss Dawn is Zumba® certified. Zumba®  is a NON-recital class. Please bring clean sneakers.

                    NEW CLASS!
                    Choreography Workshop
                    (Sr Division)
                    Students will learn how to choreograph. Students will learn about levels, space, types of movement, patterns, emotion and story, how to count music and break it down, and how to put it all together to create a dance. Under the guidance of an experienced teacher, students will learn what to consider when creating a piece of choreography and will choreograph two pieces- one to be performed at nursing homes on December 3rd and 10th and a final piece that will be performed in the spring recital. This class will meet EVERY OTHER WEEK for 2hours.
